GCSE Media assessment: learner response

1) Type up your feedback in full (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential).

You need to refer to the correct figure!

2) Read the mark scheme for this assessment carefully. Write down the mark you achieved for each question:

Q1: 1/1
Q2: 0/1
Q3: 1/2
Q4: 1/2

Q5: 0/2
Q6: 1/3
Q7: 1/2
Q8: 1/4
Q9: 1/8

Where you didn't achieve full marks, write WHY you think you missed out on the extra marks. Use the indicative content suggestions in the mark scheme to help with this.

For Q3 i got 1/2 i missed 1 mark because i didn't use media terminology i need to say entertainment produced by the media to get that 1 mark.
For Q4 i got 1/2 because i didn't say the specific demographic (type) of individual or group.
but i did say that the media product is aimed at this age (1).
For  Q5 i got 0 marks because i refer to the wrong figure next time i need to refer to the right figure by looking and reading more.
For Q6 i got 1/3 marks because i didn't say understanding of the theoretical framework of media studies so next time i need to refer to the theoretical framework.
For Q7 i got 1/2 marks because i said talked about his expression but i never talked about the background much and i didn't use a lot of media terminology.
For Q8 i got 1/4 because of how i didn't say something like this Allows the audience to connect the child to the background setting and the poverty of their environment but i did say that its a medium close up shot.

3) Did you get any media terminology wrong in the assessment? Make a note of it here for future revision:

i need to use more media terminology for question 3 because i only got 1/2 mark because of how i didn't use media terminology i need to say for question 3 A group or individual(1)who takes in information or entertainment produced by the media.

4) Identify one of your stronger questions. Why did you do better on this question?

I think i did really good in Q3 because i revised consumer and denotation and things related to that and i said that consumer is a person who buys the item in the advert.

5) Identify one of your weaker questions. Why did you score lower on this particular question?

i think i did really weak in Q5 because i didn't refer to the correct figure and also i didn't revise on the effect of the placement of the title  in the film poster because i thought there would be more of other questions like Q4 and Q3 where it talks about consumer and target audience.

6) Re-draft your answer to Q9 and type it out in full. Use the mark scheme to identify anticipated content you can add to your response and make sure your typed re-draft is a top-level answer of at least three paragraphs.

Charities usually use images which has innocent people in the picture because people care for them and show sorrow for them they help by giving money or donating anything that could help them in need, this may appeal to the consumer to help the child as the consumer may have a child or two at home and can feel how this child is suffering, like sometimes if they might want a toy or something related to that they wil probably cry for it to get it or beg to the parent.
