Q2: 2/12 talk about colour palette,verbal code (use of language) and typography.
Q3: 1/8 Show that audiences want to know the intimate details of people’s lives.The message is that celebrities are important and being a celebrity is something to aspire to.

5) Now look at question 3. Use the mark scheme to identify three points you could have made regarding how Tatler reflects British social and cultural values.



  • The title originates from the verb ‘tattle’ which suggests gossip and exploring the             lifestyle choices made by middle/upper-middle class target audience.
  • James Corden and his LA lifestyle (with his Aristo buddies).
  • The issue is more interested in fashion, merchandise, beauty and ‘lifestyle’ rather than
          dealing with news in any depth.
