Film Industry: I, Daniel Blake

1) What is independent cinema and how is it different to Hollywood blockbusters?

Its a cinema which produced outside of a huge studios with a small to medium budget.Its different to Hollywood blockbusters because Hollywood blockbuster is a team of people not making films by them self's they make films with other celebrates and other famous people. 
2) What is I, Daniel Blake about?

Its about a 59 year old man who was a carpenter who must rely on the welfare after a recent heart attack which leaves him unable to work. Despite his doctors diagnosis, some British authorities deny his benefits because they think he can still find work and do it despite his issues he starts to develop a strong bond with a single mother who's struggling to take care of her two children.

3) Who directed I, Daniel Blake and why is this important?

It was directed by Ken Loach.Its important because its based on a true story and it shows us that there are people struggling like this and we shouldn't just ignore them we should instead help them.

4) How was I, Daniel Blake promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign.

One way it was promoted to the audience by guerrilla marketing and they went to shows to talk about there film and also they projected there film on different place. 

5) What unusual or creative marketing methods were used to get audiences talking about the film?

Guerrilla marketing was one method they used to get audiences talking about the film and they also ken loach went to shows and other place to talk about his film.

6) What was the estimated production budget for I, Daniel Blake and how much did it make at the box office?

The estimate production budget for i,Daniel Blake was £2 million and it made £165 million at the box office.

7) How can independent films like I, Daniel Blake compete with Hollywood blockbusters like Doctor Strange?

Independent films don't make as much as big blockbuster films because big blockbuster they have other people to work with and they can use star power unlike independent films because they use director power which is where they use the directors consumers watch the movie which isn't as good as the star power because star power is when they use the famous celebrities consumers and tell them to watch this movie and that obviously is more effective because what if the character has millions of followers and they all come to watch the movie the movie will obviously make millions or billions of money which shows that independent movies will probably never make as much as big blockbuster films.

8) In your opinion, was I, Daniel Blake a success?

yes because it spent less then it earned.It earned more then double the money they spent on the movie.
